At Kitchen & Bath Specialists, we follow a detailed process to ensure that you are informed from beginning to end.
For the initial consultation we set an appointment to meet in our showroom and gather information. We offer a comprehensive education using our showroom displays, samples, accessories, and more. Please bring plans, dimensions, or site photos, to enrich our discussion.
Understanding your requirements, preferences, and vision for your new space. This involves discussing your lifestyle, cooking habits, storage needs, and any specific design preferences you may have.
Identifying the primary goals and design objectives for the cabinetry, such as improving functionality, maximizing storage, enhancing aesthetics, or accommodating specific appliances or features, to transform your space.
Discussing aspects such as traffic flow, ergonomic considerations, bath fixtures, safety features, etc. are practical considerations that if overlooked can be difficult to remedy down the road.
Overall, the initial consultation serves as an opportunity for the designers and clients to establish rapport, clarify objectives, and lay the groundwork for a successful collaboration throughout the project. If you would like to move forward with design development, we will prepare an design fee invoice.
The design fee is non-refundable and is determined based on the complexity and time required to complete design drawings. This fee encompasses various services, including:
During the design development phase, we diligently progress towards the final design and material procurement.
After taking measurements or collecting plan dimensions, we move forward with drafting conceptual drawings that incorporate the insights gathered during our initial consultation. Collaborating closely with you, we also create tailored palette options for your space. As we uncover alternative options to enhance the design or palette, we will present these options for your consideration.
Upon completing drawings, we will arrange a consultation in our showroom to review the drawings, palettes, and estimates. This session provides the opportunity to review all that is proposed and discuss any modifications. Together we review cabinetry options, finishes, storage solutions, and other pertinent details. We believe that no detail is too insignificant for consideration.
The design fee includes one revision to the drawings. If modifications to the initial drawings are necessary, we will arrange another consultation either in the showroom or electronically to review design changes. If additional revisions are necessary an hourly rate will be applied to modify and present drawings.
It’s time to place your orders!
Before your orders are finalized, we verify that all materials we procure for the project are suitable for your space. We track shipment of these materials, ensuring they are safely transported to the project site. If upon arrival an item is found to be defective, we will promptly rectify the issue. We will keep you aware of arrival dates and promptly provide notification of any delays.
Furthermore, our team takes charge of communication and correspondence with your project manager regarding installation of materials we procure. For any material we procure (e.g. cabinetry, tile, plumbing, decorative lighting, bath accessories, mirrors, & countertops), we provide detailed installation guides. These detailed guides provide specifics for installation of materials according to the customer approved design.
For countertops, we schedule all site appointments with the project manager, and we are on-site for template and installation.
